Ltc Yatra Day 01 :  Delhi – Dibrugarh (ASSAM)
Arrive Dibrugarh airport from Delhi by Indigo 6E-205 and transfer to Mancotta or Chowkidhinghee Heritage Tea Bungalow.  Evening free. Overnight in Dibrugarh.

When the British established their tea plantations in the mid-19th century they quickly built comfortable bungalows designed to make life as pleasant as possible in what, was to them, a hostile and strange land. One of the main features of these buildings has given rise to their name –CHANG BUNGALOWS. Chang in the local language means “raised on stilts” and the design served multi purposes- to keep the house cool by allowing the  breeze to blow underneath and to keep both water and animals out!

NOTE: There is no tea plucking between December till mid March and hence the actual manufacturing process of tea cannot be demonstrated when one visits the factory during this period. Factory also remains closed on Monday’s of the week.

Ltc Yatra Day 02 :  Dibrugarh-Digboi-Dibrugarh (ASSAM)
After breakfast drive to Digboi (80 kms/ 02 hrs), the first Oil town of South Asia. You will visit the Oil Museum and the 2nd World War Allied Forces Cemetery where 200 graves are permanently maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Return to Dibrugarh for overnight stay at the Chang Bungalow.

Digboi : Digboi is a small but  wonderful town in Tinsukia district in the north-eastern part of the state of Assam, India. Petroleum oil was discovered here in late 19th century and the Digboi oilfield is one of the oldest oil fields. With a significant number of British professionals working for the Assam Oil Company as late as until the decade following the independence of India, Digboi has a legacy of well developed infrastructure and a number of bungalows unique to the town. It has a world class golf course with 18 holes as part of the Digboi Club.

The famous Tilinga Mandir (Bell Temple) at Bordubi about 25 km from Tinsukia and 10 kms from Duliajan, Assam. This bell temple is as spiritually and mystically strong as any other temple. There are hundreds and thousands of bells of all sizes in bronze, brass, copper and aluminum that’s tied to the big banyan tree (peepal) and its various branches. Long ago, a black rock in the shape of Shiva Lingam was unheartened and nestled among the roots of the peepal tree (banyan). People discovered mysterious power that wishes expressed under the tree come true and gestured by hanging a bell on the tree. The custom however changed and people tie bells and make their wishes.
Digboi Museum remains closed on Monday’s of the week.

Ltc Yatra Day 03 : Dibrugarh – Tinsukia (ASSAM)
After early breakfast drive to Tinsukia. Check-in Limbuguri Tea Bungalow. Visit Maguri beel on country boat (without motor). Maguri beel is a shallow wetland. The slow silent approach of the boat allow to see numbers of ducks and geese. Return for lunch. After lunch river cruise on Brahmaputra for possible chances of river dolphin and spectacular view of sunset. Overnight in Tinsukia.

Dibru-Saikhowa National Park (located near Tinsukia town) is wet evergreen forests, tropical moist deciduous forest, cane brakes and grasslands. It is the largest salix swamp forest in north east India. Situated in the flood plains of the Brahmaputra and the Lohit, at an altitude of 118 m above sea level, Dibru-Saikhowa is a safe haven for many endangered species. Due to the auto stocking by River Brahmaputra and Dibru, it is rich in Fish Diversity. Dibru Saikhowa has tropical monsoon climate with a hot and wet summer and cool and usually dry winter.

Ltc Yatra Day 04 : Tinsukia – Dibtrugarh ( ASSAM)
After breakfast drive to Jorhat. Check-in Banyan Grove or Thengal Manor.
